Looks like this has the makings of an excellent online resource, about an industry now alas disappeared in the County (from someone whose father, gf, ggf and gggf were coal miners)

Hi there, I've just been looking through the Durham Miner website, and I think the site is progressing really well. I intend to subcribing to the newsletter, and look forward to seeing the database and mapping sections when they become live - Keep up the good work!
