Website Redesign

Welcome to our Website

We updated our website, implementing a totally new design and navigation system during November 2003.

We hope you will agree that it looks much more modern and is a lot easier to navigate.
To help you as much as possible we have provided some information about the changes we have made, below.

New Sections

The site is split into 13 main sections.
These are based on the APLAWS   system set out by central government.
The links below will take you to each section under which you will find relevant sub-sections.

New Sections

T Advice, Benefits and Emergencies
T Business
T Community People and Living
T Council and Democracy
T Education
T Environment
T Health
T Housing
T Jobs and Careers
T Leisure
T News
T Social Care
T Transport and Streets

New Navigation

We have also changed the way you navigate our site.
We have rearranged the navigation so that further information, useful links, contacts and FAQs, relevant to a particular subject, can be found in the boxes on the right hand side of the web pages.
We have implemented a clickable breadcrumb trail, which appears at the top of every web page.
The breadcrumb indicates the location of an individual page within the website structure.
For further information refer to our T help   page.

Features

Take part in our T Quic k Poll   .
Every month we will be asking you a different question.
You can even send us your requests for things you think we should be asking you.
We have updated our accessibility features to include 'Access Keys'.
For those users having difficulty using a mouse, you can now navigate via the keyboard.
Please read our T accessibility   page for more details.
We have also incorporated more use of colour to help you remember where you are within the site.

Popular pages are the top 10 pages on our website that receive the most number of hits every month and hot topics provide links to topics of interest, and events happening locally.
T Onli ne Services   provides a link to our online shop as well as forms that can be filled in or printed online. We would like to hear your thoughts on our site, so why not fill in our redesign questionnaire   and share your views with us.
