Community Safety | Community Safety was established in March 1998 to coordinate the County Council's corporate response to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. Its purpose is to support the Authority's corporate theme to promote "strong, healthy and safe communities", more specifically that element which relates to the safety of communities through crime prevention and reduction, as well as tackling fear of crime.
