Group Visits

Members of staff regularly give talks on the work of the County Record Office and sources for local and family history to interested groups who visit the Record Office.

These talks are an excellent way to visit the Record Office for the first time or to discover more about our holdings. A charge is made for this service. For further information, or to book an appointment, please contact the County Archivist.

'Your County Record Office' and 'Discover Durham Documents' are guided walks which are designed to explain the workings and the holdings of the Office and take place alternately on the last Thursday evening of each month (except December).

Each tour meets at the County Hall Help Desk at 6pm. Please note, a small charge is made for these tours.
