Career Opportunities Working in Social Care

We offer lots of opportunities covering a wide range of jobs and careers in all related social care and health fields. We employ social workers, occupational therapists, care workers and support staff in various capacities. Our social care staff work with Children and Young People or with our Adult Care Services.

National Social Care Campaign

The annual national campaign, starting in March, is to encourage more people to pursue careers in social work. The advertising depicts a range of scenarios social workers will encounter, across adults’ and children’s services. This is designed to show the variety, challenges and rewards a career in social care can offer. Local authorities, including DCC, support this campaign in raising the profile of a career in social care.
