Educational Awards and Benefits
We determine the eligibility, and provide an assessment of Higher Education financial support in accordance with the Education (Student Support) Regulations for both students who reside in County Durham, or meet the statutory residency requirement.

Employment of Children
Part time work can be a positive learning experience for young people provided that the type of employment is suitable and properly regulated. The Council has a duty to maintain such regulation in the area.
